The NARSissist Blush Palette

I held back on the eye shadow palette, but there's only so much restraint a girl can have.Three NARS products in one compact, one of which is limited edition, and all for the bargain (let me believe it) price of £35? As a massive Orgasm fan (Nars makes me write awkward things), a long-time Laguna-coveter and a highlighter lover, this palette had my name written all over it.

Although the Space NK website still says that this item is pre-order only, not expected in stock until 17th February, I got mine this week. I have to admit, that once I had frantically opened the box and flung out all of the tissue paper to find my prize, I was a tad disappointed. It is tiny. Really, really, small. However, I soon perked up at the iconic rubberised packaging, and the lovely little brush, which I had forgotten was even included.

The colours themselves are all amazing. Orgasm needs no introduction, and if you don't already have this cult classic shade, I think you need to go and get it now. There's no blush like it for giving your skin that perfect peachy flush and glow. Laguna was the one I had been dying to try, and it has actually managed to surpass my sky-high expectations. It is the perfect contouring shade, and looks amazingly natural. Sadly, the tiny amount of it in this palette is not going to last me long, so I am just going to have to buy the full-sized version. No choice in the matter. What a pity. Devotee, the highlighting shade, is the least pigmented of the bunch, but subtle and very pretty indeed. I think I tend to prefer a liquid or cream highlighter, but this is a great shade to have in this palette, as it's perfect for little on-the-go touch ups. The little brush is the perfect final addition. It is the perfect size, partly because let's face it, a normal bronzer or blush brush wouldn't fit in this tiny palette, and partly because it fits nicely under my cheekbones when I'm Laguna-ing up.

Overall, this is the perfect palette for travel, as it is very compact, and has everything you need to highlight, contour and blush on the go. I think if you already have Laguna or Orgasm, it's probably not worth getting this, unless you really want them in a palette for travel. I don't regret getting it though, as I like the highlighting shade, and it's a beautiful palette to have. I will be saving it for taking on holidays or very long days out, and sticking to the full-sized products for use at home. Full-sized Laguna, here I come...

  1. This is lovely, but as you say, the palette is very small and I can see from your photos that it only contains 2.5g of each product. I think usually, NARS products contain around 8-10g? I think I would be tempted to buy Orgasm and Laguna separately!

    1. Yes, you couldn't have this palette as your only Orgasm or Laguna. As I said, I will be buying a full-sized Laguna now, and already have Orgasm. x

  2. I think this would be great for someone just starting out with makeup. Or at least higher end products. It seems like good, almost sample sizes. Or like you said, for travel. That being said, I want to really get my hands on this!

    1. It's so pretty, and although I could never have this as my main Orgasm (and will be buying a full-sized Laguna), I am glad I have it, because it is super handy. x

  4. I never tried any NARS makeup but this palette is so appealing considering it has 2 cult products : Orgasm blush and Laguna Bronzer :)

    1. Thanks for following! I would definitely recommend it if you fancied getting a taster of NARS and what their products are like. Their quality really is amazing, the only problem is it just makes you want all of their stuff! x

  5. I really wanted to get this palette, I opted for the eye palette though this time and couldn't stretch to both. Looks really lovely, I hope you enjoy :)
