Lancome French Ballerine Collection: Ombre Hypnose Dazzling Shadow

Look at how this incredible cream shadow catches the light! It is so reflective, it is very easy to see why it is named 'Dazzling'. For me, it was love at first sight the moment I set eyes on Lancôme’s limited edition French Ballerine collection, and this stunner is the first item I have been lucky enough to own.

The shade I opted for is Topaz Doré, a peachy gold with plenty of sparkle. The sparkle however, is finely milled enough that I think this shade is perfectly fine for daytime if applied with your finger and blended out. Applied with the little brush included in the box (a really nice touch), it's quite buildable for a more intense wash of colour. However, the thing that really swayed me into getting this (rather than the blush highlighter from this collection, which is haunting my dreams) was the way it feels. From the second I swatched it, I knew I had to have it. According to Lancôme, the eyeshadow is enriched with a 'bouncy' polymer, which gives it the most incredible softness and almost jelly-ish feel. If you pass a Lancôme counter, go and put your finger in one of these pots, they feel amazing!

On the eyelid, the finish is velvety soft and almost like a powder shadow, but with a hint of glossiness. It also stays put all day with no creasing. I'm in love.

Available in Topaz Doré or Spinelle Rose, £21 from Lancôme.

    1. It is slightly less peachy, and more golden on my eyelid than on my hand for some reason! But yes, it is a stunner, and the texture is amazing! Thanks for reading. xx

  2. This looks like such a lovely shade, Amber! Lancome is an all time favourite brand of mine since my mum has been using their products for years. These days, I can't quite afford much from their range but I think I'll treat myself to one of their lipsticks soon! Thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog, it was very sweet and it made me smile! You lovely girly, you!! xxx

    1. I love Lancome too, my mum also got me into them, and I spent my teenage years applying Juicy Tubes in the school toilets! You are more than welcome for the comment, your blog is so pretty and your pictures are just amazing, it's obvious you work very hard on it. Thank you very much for taking the time to come and read mine, and comment, it does mean a lot to me! x
